Boat Detailing

Midko Marine offer an extensive boat detailing program, whether it be just a wash down and chamois or a complete buff and polish. We can customize a program for your boat all year round keeping it looking new and protecting the paint work and gelcoat from the harsh Australian sun, so all you have to do is jump on board and enjoy your boat.

Listed below is a brief description and price list for details and or programs you can choose for your boat or customize your own.

All prices are for the superstructure of your vessel - which includes cockpits, cabin sides, fly bridge sides and front, deck areas, toe-rails, fly bridge interiors. (The hull is done separately when the boat is out for its yearly antifouling.)

Full Detail

Condition:
For when your boat has lost its shine. The surface becomes porous and collects salt and dirt making it hard to keep clean.
Recommended:
Yearly
Works:

1.Wash down boat first to remove dirt, salt, marks, mould and rust marks.

2. All covers are washed.

3. Non-skid deck area's are scrubbed.

4. Machine buff all smooth surfaces. This brings back the smooth shiny surface.

5. Apply a wax by hand and polish off. This will give it another layer of protection.

6. Polish all stainless steel.

7. Polish all clears

8. Clean windows

9. Wash "n" Wax boat and then chamois down. This will give even more protection.

Hand polish

Condition:
For boats that are new or in good condition. If you have had a full detail we recommend this service every 3 - 4 months as this keeps the protective layer of wax on the boat. Remember the salt and sun can break down this layer in 6 months and start destroying your gelcoat or paintwork.
Recommended:
Every 3 - 4 months
Works:

Wash down

Condition:
This service is used to wash the salt of the boat after it has been out for the weekend or just a quick clean and scrub before using the boat, this is a cheap and quick way of keeping on top of things to keep the boat looking nice. As you all know when it rains there is a dirty brown residue left on the boat which can build up very quickly and eat into the polish, and those pesky seagulls that leave there mark, that to can stain and destroy your gelcoat.
Recommended:
After the boat has been used, or have it done prior to taking your oat out for the day.
Works:

1. Wash "n" Wax boat and clears.

2. Remove all airbourne dirt and salt.

3. Chamois down.

Interior Cleaning

Condition:
When you boat is looking a bit worn inside.
Recommended:
After outings or weekends away. Or just to bring it up nice and clean again.
Works:

1. All surfaces and furniture dusted and cleaned.

2. Fridges, ovens and microwave are cleaned.

3. Mirrors cleaned.

4. Bed coverings and general accessories tidied and straightened.

5. Galley and Head's cleaned and disinfected.

6. Internal windows and hatches cleaned.

7. Carpets vacuumed.

8. General cleaning, vacuuming and wiping to remove all traces of debris.

Detail Programs - There are many different detail programs to choose from, below are a few examples.

If your boat is looking a bit flat have a full detail done to bring it up looking new then every 3 to 4 months have a hand polish done to keep the boat protected all year round.

If your boat is in new condition have a hand polish done every 3 to 4 months.

You can even have 2 hand polishes a year and get 3 to 4 washes a year.

As you can see, you can mix these services up to any detail program you want to keep your pride and joy looking great all year round

Vessel Wash Downs - To remove salt and grime. Also ensures your polish lasts longer. Our company carries a water permit from Sydney Water.

Machine Buffing and Polishing Gelcoat and Paintwork - Using the correct product for the type of paint or gelcoat will make your boats exterior look like new.

Hand waxing of gelcoat and paintwork - Keeping hand wax up to your vessel will retain its shine and, importantly, its value.

Stainless steel polishing - Polishing your stainless steel removes the surface rust and keeps it looking shiny for longer.

Teak deck cleaning - Using our special teak deck cleaners and process we can restore your teak deck keeping it clean and maintaining the beautiful golden look that teak is renowned for.

Interior cleaning - Have the inside of your vessel cleaned, giving it a fresh new look and smell.

Carpet steam cleaning - Your carpets and furniture can be steam cleaned to remove inground dirt and stains.

Flybridge and cockpit clears - Having trouble seeing through your flybridge clears? Have them either cleaned or polished. There are several ways to do this.

Bilges and engine rooms - Degreasing oil and grey water removal from your engine room. We can remove and replace insulation with new insulation materials to achieve the most effective noise reduction available.

Engine room bulkheads, floors, stringers can easily be re-flowcoated (painted) to bring it back to new condition.

Covers and canopies - Whether its trouble you are having from bird droppings or your covers just need a clean to remove dirt and mould build up around the edges or stitching, we can clean or in some cases have the covers dry cleaned.

Stain removal - If you have any stains, whether it be in gelcoat, fibreglass, paintwork, fabric or any other, we have had many years experience in removal and solutions for your vessel.
